Gavin Simpson ACMA CGMA is a CIMA Qualified finance leader and author of "Binman to Boardroom." After a late-diagnosis of Autism transformed his perspective and allowed him to discover unknown strengths, he moved from manual labour to finance. He now helps organisations unlock the benefits of cognitive and background diversity and empowers individuals to unlock their full potential.

Gavin Simpson proves that where you start doesn't define where you finish. Leaving school with no qualifications, he spent nine years driving a bin lorry, believing he was "broken." A diagnosis of Autism became his turning point—revealing a pattern-seeking brain built for strategy, not failure. Self-funding his education, Gavin rose to become CIMA Student of the Year (2024) and a Finance Leader at major corporations like Jaguar Land Rover. As the founder of Binman to Boardroom®, he advocates for Cognitive and Background Diversity as a competitive business asset. His upcoming TEDx talk challenges the Industrial Model of Education, offering a new framework for success in the AI economy.
